Why This Chart, Not the Vedic Chart?

For this Sabian reading I use the Western tropical natal chart shown above. This is a choice of framework, not a claim that Western astrology is better, more accurate or scientifically validated.

The tropical zodiac takes the spring equinox as its starting reference. A sidereal zodiac uses a stellar reference and an offset called the ayanamsa. The resulting sign-degree coordinates differ, so switching charts changes which numbered degree is being read.

My Western chart places the Sun at 24°16′38″ Aries; the earlier sidereal chart recorded 0°55′ Aries. Those are different degree references. The earlier Sabian images therefore cannot simply be relabelled as a Western reading.

The sidereal chart remains the reference for my Nakshatra material and Vedic annual reading. The two routes can be read alongside one another, with their methods kept distinct.

Each Western position has already been converted to its numbered degree: 24°16′38″ Aries means Aries 25, not Aries 26. There is no second rounding. Western symbol wording was supplied for this edit and attributed to the Marc Edmund Jones / Dane Rudhyar tradition; its exact edition and wording have not been independently checked. The sidereal column preserves the earlier creative reading.

The Western Natal Positions

The supplied Astrodienst chart shows April 14, 1964, 7:00 AM, Tel Aviv, with Placidus houses. I use the blue natal positions, not the green transit column dated 2 May 2026. The Ascendant is shown to degrees and minutes; no extra seconds have been inferred.

For the numbered degree reference, 24°16′ lies in the twenty-fifth degree, not degree 24. The table identifies the reference to check; it does not yet certify a symbol’s wording.

Each Western tropical image appears beside the earlier sidereal image. On narrow screens each pair wraps, Western first. The coordinates belong to different frameworks; the reflections are personal editorial interpretations, not source quotations. Oil choices remain companions to the earlier reading, not newly established Western correspondences.
