The first time I saw my Gene Keys profile, I felt seen in a way no other system had ever managed. Not my sun sign, not my Human Design chart — this. A map that explained why I built Artemisia the way I did, why precision matters so deeply to me, and why I can’t stop weaving ancient wisdom systems together. This article is my attempt to share that map with you.

📖 What Are Gene Keys? (Richard Rudd’s System)
Gene Keys is Richard Rudd’s contemplative system. It brings the I Ching’s 64 hexagrams into a symbolic dialogue with genetics and birth-chart imagery. These parallels are part of its interpretive framework; they do not establish a scientific equivalence between DNA, astrology and the I Ching.

The comparison with 64 codons is a symbolic parallel, not evidence that a profile measures genetic traits
Birth-chart imagery supplies a personal contemplative framework, not a scientific assessment
A Hologenetic Profile is organized into spheres across different sequences. The spheres include Life’s Work, Evolution, Radiance, Purpose, SQ and Pearl, among others. These six names are not the six Venus spheres compared in the circle article, and they are not the entire profile.
🎙️ The Three Frequencies: Shadow → Gift → Siddhi
Within Richard Rudd’s framework, each Gene Key is contemplated through Shadow, Gift and Siddhi. These are symbolic terms for reflection, not measured frequencies or a guaranteed progression.
An invitation to notice a limiting pattern with compassion, rather than use a label to judge yourself or someone else.
A constructive quality to explore through attention and practice.
The framework’s spiritual ideal, not a standard readers must achieve or a promise attached to a scent.
📍 The 6 Lines (from the I Ching)
Each numbered Gene Key can carry a line number from 1 to 6. The number before the decimal identifies the key; the number after it identifies the line. For example, 42.4 means Gene Key 42, line 4, not a mathematical decimal score.
The following archetype labels are retained from this article’s interpretive presentation. They are not diagnoses or an exhaustive account of Richard Rudd’s sphere-specific line teachings.
