☲ The Fire Keeper — Clarity Through Attachment
Hexagram 30 is the doubling of Fire — ☲ over ☲. Fire does not exist independently; it must cling to something to burn. This is the paradox of The Clinging: true illumination comes not from grasping, but from conscious attachment — to what is luminous, nourishing, and life-giving. Like the sun that clings to the sky, or the flame that clings to the wick, we too must find what we are meant to illuminate.
The ancient kings understood this: they perpetuated brightness not by hoarding it, but by radiating it outward to the four quarters of the world. Your fire is not yours alone — it is meant to be shared.
