Water flows over Water — abyss upon abyss, danger upon danger. Thus the superior one walks in lasting virtue and carries on the business of teaching." The key to navigating the abyss is sincerity — not cleverness, not force, but the wholehearted commitment to flow through whatever comes. Half-heartedness drowns; sincerity swims.
