Every new year is a threshold — a liminal space between who we were and who we are becoming. In the Hebrew tradition, Rosh Hashanah (רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה) is not merely a date on the calendar. It is a cosmic reset: Yom HaDin, the Day of Judgment, and simultaneously Yom HaZikaron, the Day of Remembrance. We are called to remember ourselves — our essence, our commitments, our becoming.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, autumn is governed by the Metal element — the season of the lungs and large intestine, of discernment, release, and grief transformed into wisdom.
