The Mountain stands above Heaven — the greatest force in the cosmos held within, contained, accumulated. Hexagram 26 — Da Xu — is the hexagram of the great reservoir: the power that has been gathered, refined, and held in readiness. The superior one does not dissipate their energy in display — they accumulate wisdom, study the past, and strengthen their character. The Hypnotist archetype understands that the greatest power is invisible: it works through subtle influence, through artfulness, through the mastery that needs no announcement.
