Purva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni are two parts of a whole nakshatra of four stars, which resemble a bed. Phal means 'fruit' and guni means 'connected to gunas or good qualities' — Phalguni is the nakshatra that gives the fruit of our good deeds. Ruled by Venus, the planet that rules the good things in life, together with Mercury (ruler of Leo) this nakshatra is very productive and abundant.
