♑ The Devil's Message
Baphomet sits enthroned on a black cube, wings spread, torch raised. Two human figures stand chained at his feet — but look closely: the chains are loose. They could remove them at any moment. The Devil does not imprison; he reveals what we have chosen to remain bound to. The chains are made of our own desires, fears, and unconscious patterns.
Ayin means eye — and The Devil is the card of seeing clearly what we have refused to see. Saturn's gift is ruthless honesty about the structures we have built around ourselves. The lamp in the darkness illuminates the chains — and the moment we see them clearly, we can choose to remove them. Mirth is the secret: the one who can laugh at their own bondage has already begun to be free.
