🌿 Meaning & Mythology
'Ardra' means 'green' or 'moist' — the freshness after a storm, the green earth washed clean by rain. Rahu rules Ardra, and this rulership of Rahu, the Moon and Mercury explains the field of operation for Ardra: the mind, emotionally and intellectually. Rahu makes us want to achieve the impossible and reach for our highest aspirations; then makes us realize the futility of this.
